In this class we will learn to add texture to our watercolor paintings. We will focus on different tools such as straight edges, salt, granulating pigments, and spray bottles to spread paint, create texture, and add highlights. We will use these tecniques in a variety of subjects, including landscapes, urban scenes, and abstraction. We will contrast these textures with wet on wet techniques to blend and create smooth transitions.
Definition: Wet on wet painting is wet paint applied onto wet paint, so that the colors will spread into one another producing soft edges and blending.
